Joe's Pizzeria Celebrates 60 Years of Business

Joe's Pizzeria has been a Wheeling namesake for six decades. Joe’s Pizzeria, located at 57 N. Wolf Road, was founded in the summer of 1966 by two best friends, Ron Sauer and Roland Gauthier. At a recent Board meeting in mid-August, the Village Board recognized Joe's Pizzeria for 60 years of service to the Wheeling community. Current Owners Greg Sauer & Rich Wildenhain, as well as one of the original founders, Ruth Sauer, were presented with a certificate and received praise.

Sauer and Wildenhain thanked the Village Board and Wheeling residents for supporting their local business throughout the years. The Village Board shared memories of how Joe's Pizzeria was a go-to for their families and friends and wished them many more years of success.

In June of this year, Joe’s Pizzeria celebrated its six decades of family-owned service by featuring a special $19.66 menu promotion.
