A Winning Workforce

Wheeling’s education system provides an early focus on technical skills through career pathway programs in a variety of sectors, including engineering and technology, computer science, and industrial trades. Students are able to obtain certifications and licenses beginning in Wheeling High School, facilitating a young and skilled workforce eager to gain exposure in professional settings. A number of our key manufacturers, such as Reynold's Consumer Products, Wieland Metals, Keat's Manufacturing, and Tasca Auto Group have hired Wheeling High School alumni and were impressed with their technical skills and strong work ethic.

Post-secondary education, certifications, and apprenticeships are thriving resources in Wheeling’s workforce. Wheeling residents can choose from a variety of programs available at Harper Community College.
