Rosebud Steakhouse is now open in Wheeling’s premiere luxury living community, UPTOWN 500, located at 500 West Dundee. The indoor space is designed as an open kitchen concept and includes seating for up to 200 guests. In addition to the restaurant, private and semi-private dining is a key feature and a welcome addition to Wheeling's dining scene.
Rosebud Steakhouse in Wheeling offers a spacious bar with ample seating, live entertainment, and a wine wall with storage for hundreds of rare vintages as well as wines for all kinds of dining settings. An outdoor patio will add to the seating options and offer diners an opportunity to enjoy the weather while dining.
Village President Pat Horcher joined the festivities on October 28, 2024, to officially cut the ceremonial ribbon, signaling the restaurant's commitment to becoming a vibrant part of Wheeling’s dining scene. The event drew a warm welcome from over 100 business leaders, government officials, family and friends of the Rosebud ownership team, as well as the Wheeling community. Guests enjoyed an exciting evening of delicious food, entertainment, and live broadcasting, as the restaurant officially opened its doors.

Rosebud Steakhouse announced its occupancy of the commercial space at Uptown 500 in January of 2023. The Village recently awarded Rosebud Steakhouse a $225,000 Wheeling Restaurant, Entertainment, & Retail Build-Out Grant to assist its $2.5 million buildout of the space ($1.9 in construction improvements and $760,000 in labor costs). To date, the Grant has helped over a dozen restaurants enhance their dining area and make Wheeling a true dining destination.
“Wheeling’s origins are closely tied to the hospitality industry, and the arrival of Rosebud Steakhouse represents a major milestone in our 130-year history as a dining destination,” Wheeling Village President Patrick Horcher said.
“Their opening at Uptown 500 is another important step in the Village’s ongoing transformation of our town center, as industrial sites make way for transit-oriented residential and commercial development. Rosebud Steakhouse will soon be drawing devoted patrons from throughout the region, whether they arrive by foot, car, or train.”
