Today's Temptations, located at 171 E. Marquardt Drive in Wheeling, has partnered with Breaking Bread Catering & Deli in Cary, IL. Known for is sandwiches, Breaking Bread's clients have enjoyed the bread and look forward to coming into the Cary store to purchase the bread for home. Owners began selling bread and baked goods from Today's Temptations two months ago. Today's Temptations, the Wheeling-based bakery, has been creating handcrafted baked goods and breads for over two decades.
Today's Temptations sells bread including sourdough, tomato focaccia, pretzel buns, french rolls, multigrain, "everything" baguette bread, low-carb bread, and ciabatta. Desserts include chocolate cookies, chocolate cake, raspberry pastries, and more. Their products can be found in grocery stores and specialty stores.
The partnership between Today's Temptations and Breaking Bread Catering & Deli has helped offer sought-after inventory helping to turn Breaking Bread into its own mini grocery store, also selling cheese, salads, and deli meat, in addition to Today's Temptations' bread.
According to Today's Temptations' staff, they are expanding their business partnerships and working with Glenview-based Culinary Gangster and Woodfire Tavern in Long Grove.
In 2021, Today's Temptations contacted the Village's Economic Development staff seeking a bigger manufacturing space then the one currently owned in Chicago. The Village Board approved a Resolution in mid-2021 for a Cook County Class 6b Tax Incentive that helped secure Today's Temptations and allowed the bread manufacturer to make significant building improvements at their 171 E. Marquardt Drive location. Tasty Temptations brought their business operations to Wheeling including 50 employees with hopes to hire more personnel to meet their growing business needs.
