Reynolds’ aluminum foil is a staple in many consumer kitchens and restaurants. Reynolds Consumer Products is located at 777 Wheeling Road. The plant began as Ekco Products in 1973, later becoming Reynolds Consumer Products. In addition to aluminum foil, Reynolds produces saran wrap, pans, storage bags, and other products in Wheeling. As the Village of Wheeling’s third largest employer, Reynolds employs 337 employees.

Over the years, the company has expanded its operations and currently has an average 30 trucks per day transporting goods. Reynolds integrated multiple production facilities, while improving their manufacturing processes in Wheeling. By developing new ways to package products, the plant staff was able to reduce material usage and increase production savings. As a leading manufacturer, Reynolds has invested in multi-million-dollar production equipment designed to help boost production, accuracy, and timeliness. The Wheeling plant continues to serve as a model for other Reynolds plants throughout the country.
Furthermore, Reynolds serves as a bridge between the high school and local industry by encouraging students and young adults to pursue careers in manufacturing. The Village of Wheeling continues to partner with Reynolds to expand their talent pipeline and increase community engagement.Â
